Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah was on the mound today and although many feared him being back out there, he did a lot better than expected.

Manoah finished the day pitching 7 innings while allowing 3 hits and striking out 6 batters against a very strong Twins lineup.

To much surprise, Manoah was headed into the seventh inning without giving up a single run but had his day ruined by Carlos Santana who hit a 3 run homerun in the 7th.

This may have been a rough ending for the Blue Jays pitcher but the majority of his performance was quite solid, giving fans a small glimpse of hope that he may still have power left in him.
Unfortunately, this is only 1 game and Manoah will have to show a bigger sample size before he is able to change people's thoughts on him.
