The Toronto Blue Jays have been going through it lately and veteran outfielder spoke his mind after yesterday's loss to the Kansas City Royals.

George Springer speaks his mind on losing streak

The Blue Jays offense was nowhere to be found yesterday as they lost 2-1 to the Royals and they will look to avoid the sweep this afternoon but thigs certainly do not look great for the Blue Jays right now.
Veteran outfielder George Springer spoke to reporters after yesterday's loss stating that he still believes in the team despite the slump and knows that they will get out of it.
George Springer spoke after the game about his confidence in the #BlueJays:

«Our team understands who we are. We understand who we are offensively. Obviously, this is not the best stretch at the best time, but it doesn't matter. Everything is still right in front of us.»
Clearly Springer expects more from his teammates and is challenging to play better but is also showing signs of encouragement stating that he believes in them.
While Springer is right that the Blue Jays are still in a great spot and a small losing streak is not the end of the world, the worrisome part is the timing.
The season is about to end with the playoffs right around the corner and if the Blue Jays want to have a Bye for the Wild Card round, they need to start winning games.
The lack of momentum going into the playoffs if they do not snap out of this slump has also caused fans to be worried since it will be hard to get things back on track once the playoffs start.
Springer spoke like a true leader and veteran but at the same time, the Blue Jays need to start winning games if they plan on clinching the division.
The good news is that the New York Yankees have been losing quite a bit as well lately but they should not rely on that to secure their playoff spot.
