Blaine Bullard just made himself impossible to ignore, and the Toronto Blue Jays farm system has a new name worth watching closely.

Bullard won Florida State League Player of the Week honors after going 9-for-20 with three doubles, two home runs and 11 RBIs for Single-A Dunedin.

That kind of week pushed his season OPS up to .763, a real number for a 19-year-old outfielder still in his professional debut.

Toronto took Bullard in the 12th round of the 2025 draft out of Klein Cain High School, hardly the pedigree that usually produces this kind of breakout.

He now ranks 14th among Blue Jays prospects according to MLB Pipeline, backed by a .268 average, 47 runs scored and an eye-catching 30 stolen bases in just 34 attempts across 73 games.

Eight home runs and 45 RBIs round out a profile that blends real power with legitimate speed, a combination that doesn't show up together often at this level.

July has been even better. He's hitting .333 with a 1.003 OPS this month, adding two more homers and 11 RBIs across just 11 games.

Why his defense makes this profile even more complete

Bullard isn't just hitting his way onto this list either. He's posted a .985 fielding percentage with six outfield assists across 131 total chances, working reps at all three outfield spots for Dunedin.

That versatility in the field matters just as much as the bat for a player this age still figuring out where he fits long term.

Toronto's system has produced real MLB contributors recently, from Trey Yesavage to Yohendrick Piñango, Brandon Valenzuela and Sean Keys, all reaching the majors this season alone.

It's a bit like watching a garden bloom one section at a time, and Bullard just became the newest flower to catch everyone's attention.

Does a 12th round prep bat like this one actually have a path to stardom, or is this simply one hot month that regresses once he faces tougher pitching at the next level?

A promotion before the season ends wouldn't be a surprise at this rate, and Toronto may already have its next homegrown outfield piece developing right now.
