The Blue Jays were taking on the Pirates this afternoon and prior to start, they made an announcement in support of those who have lost close ones to ALS and those battling with the disease.
Toronto also had their players were arm bands that said ALS, put a tag on the bases and sign around the Rogers Center. The Blue Jays organization have played a big part in raising funds and spreading awareness on ALS over the years.

It is also Lou Gehrig day today in the MLB as he was one of the first famous athletes to openly talk about ALS and bring awareness to it.
