Blue Jays legend Vernon Wells lays into manager John Schneider
Former Toronto Blue Jays legend Vernon Wells did not hold back after yesterday's loss to the New York Yankees with some heavy criticism of manager John Schneider.
The Blue Jays had a very rough game 3 and have now announced Louis Varland as the starter for game 4 since they have gone through the rotation and it will be a bullpen game.

Shane Bieber was on the mound for the Blue Jays yesterday and had one of his worst performances of the season as he gave up 5 hits and 2 earned runs in 2.2 innings pitched.
Schneider decided to pull Bieber after only 53 pitches which Wells thought was a very bad move especially with game 4 being a bullpen game.
You don't take Shane out with 53 pitches with Game 4 being a bullpen game.
Former Blue Jays All-Star Vernon Wells shared his thoughts on John Schneider's decision to pull Shane Bieber after 53 pitches in Game 3 vs. Yankees.
Clearly pulling Bieber that early was a questionable move given the situation for game 4 as the Blue Jays went through 6 relief pitchers in yesterday's game and will likely be re-using a few of them in today's game.
When looking at the full picture and the fact that the Blue Jays ended up losing the game, keeping Bieber would have not made much of a difference it terms of the score but could have preserved a few arms for today.
Hopefully the bullpen is not too worn out and the Blue Jays will be able to take down the Yankees in New York with a bullpen game but it certainly will not be easy.
The Blue Jays take on the Yankees at Yankee Stadium tonight for game 4 at 7:08 PM with Louis Varland starting.
