The Toronto Blue Jays are looking at the trade market to add to their bullpen and it looks like one of three outfielders is likely on his way out.
The Blue Jays have been linked to a few outfielders, especially Kyle Tucker who seems to be their top option but then again he has been linked to a ton of teams this off-season.
Blue Jays might end moving at least one outfielder this off-season
A relief pitcher seems to be one of the Blue Jays main priorities right now and since they currently have a surplus of outfielders, they might look to move at least one in hopes of landing an impact reliever.
Insider Ken Rosenthal believes that the Blue Jays will look at Nathan Lukes, Myles Straw or Joey Loperfido for a potential trade to land a solid pitcher to add to their bullpen.
One way for the Blue Jays to add a reliever is by trading one of their lesser outfielders, an option they are considering, according to people briefed on their plans," wrote Rosenthal and Sammon. "Nathan Lukes, Myles Straw and Joey Loperfido all would be possibilities to move, along with a few others. -Robert
If the Blue Jays end up actually signing Tucker, they might be forced to trade Lukes anyway since they would need to clear some space in left field for him.
Lukes projects to be the Jays' starting left fielder unless they sign Kyle Tucker. Straw and Loperfido are both beloved by their teammates. -Rosenthal
While all three of these players were big in contributing to the Blue Jays 2025 season, if they can go and get a real missing piece by moving one of them, it might seriously be worth it.
Now that the Mets have agreed to a three year deal with Robert Suarez who was apparently the Blue Jays top relief pitcher target on the free agent market, they might be tempted to look more towards a trade.
