There has been a lot going on within the Blue Jays clubhouse lately with Cavan Biggio being traded a few days ago after being DFA'd and now Daniel Vogelbach designated for assignment yesterday as well.
Manager John Schneider spoke on the recent situation saying that the team is willing to make some serious changes in order to turn things around. He also added that some player are surpassing expectations while others are doing worse than expected.
«We have guys here that we expect to perform. Some guys are performing better than we thought, other guys, not as good as we would have hoped,» manager John Schneider said. «If it means trying to shake things up a little bit, sure, but I don't think that it's a slam dunk that [Barger] is going to play every day. It will be a similar runway to the last time he was up here, and we'll see how he does.»
Clearly the Blue Jays are trying to shake things up as there is still a ton of baseball left in the season and they can still turn it around but they will need to act quickly if they truly plan on making the playoffs.
