Following an earthquake in New York on Friday, the Toronto Blue Jays were able to defeat the Yankees with an impressive 3-0 victory that gets them back to .500 on the season.

Coming into this game, fans were hoping for a strong bounce-back game from Yusei Kikuchi. Thankfully, Kikuchi delivered as he struck out seven players in just over five innings of action, according to MLB Stats.

As for the rest of the Blue Jays, they played a solid game. However, offensive issues did prevail for much of the game. Thankfully, it was Ernie Clement who broke through in the seventh inning with a home run. Subsequently, at the top of the ninth inning, the Blue Jays scored two more runs and were able to seal the deal.

"Feel the 'Ern. FINAL: #BlueJays 3, Yankees 0."

This win now propels the Blue Jays to a record of 4-4. Although the offense didn't blow anyone away today, the pitching staff was fantastic. This was their first shut-out of the season, which has to feel good. That said, there is still a lot of season left, and the offense still needs some work.

Tomorrow, the Blue Jays will get to play the Yankees again, this time in prime time. The game starts at 7:05 PM Eastern Standard Time, and you will be able to watch on Sportsnet, if you live in Canada.
