The Blue Jays optioned reliever Erik Swanson down to Triple-A at the end of May and too much surprise he has yet to be called back up despite Toronto's bullpen loaded with injuries.
According to reports, not calling up Swanson makes a ton of sense as he has been terrible for the Bisons. Yesterday, Swason went into the game only managing to get 1 out and giving up 5 earned runs on 4 hits. The relief pitcher currently has a 15.83 ERA and 3.62 WHIP in Triple-A this season.
Erik Swanson managed to record just one out today while allowing 5 ER on 4 hits. He walked a batter, and gave up a HR aswell.
His AAA ERA now sits at 15.83 and he's got a WHIP of 3.62.

If Swanson was playing well, these injuries would allow him to get another shot in the Majors but it seems it has continued to get worse for the pitcher in Triple-A.
