Buck Martinez heavily criticizes Toronto Blue Jays pitchers during interview

The talk around the Blue Jays despite beating the Texas Rangers last night 2-1 is still getting blown out in their series against the Tampa Bay Rays in which they lost the final game 13-0.

Buck Martinez is one of the few members of the Blue Jays staff that is thoroughly respected by the fan base and during a recent interview he pointed out certain facts that are hard to argue against regarding their pitching.

On the Blair & Barker show, Martinez pointed out how the Blue Jays pitchers failed to control the plate at all against them which he specified does not mean hitting them but simply controlling the corners which the pitchers have struggled with this season.

Martinez makes some great points since the Blue Jays pitchers have moments of brilliance on the mound but then will have days where they cannot seem to get on top of the batter.

These issues where on full display against the Rays as the Tampa hitters were clearly in full control of the plate instead of the other way around.

The good news is that last night against the Rangers, Kevin Gausman seemed to have taken that advice as he was in full control finishing the night giving up 5 hits with 6 strikeouts and 1 earned run in 8 innings pitched.

Now the Blue Jays need to keep this going today against the Rangers and hopefully Toronto's pitchers can build off of this performance from Gausman.
