After a slow start, Kirk had a huge game against the Dodgers which resulted in a 3-1 victory.
On Sunday, Kirk's flawless 3-for-3 performance, including his inaugural season homer snapped a five-game losing streak. For the Jays. Despite enduring an 0-for-11 slump prior to the game, the 25-year-old catcher remained focused on the win rather than his struggles.
"To tell you the truth, I didn't even know I was going 0 for 11, I don't really put all my energy on that, I'm just trying to think of how I can get better, and I think that worked today."
