Captain Kirk Steers the Blue Jays Ship to Glorious Victory
Alejandro Kirk's is named performer of the game after hitting his first Home Run of the season, which propelled the Blue Jays to a 3-1 victory over dodgers.

After a slow start, Kirk had a huge game against the Dodgers which resulted in a 3-1 victory.
On Sunday, Kirk's flawless 3-for-3 performance, including his inaugural season homer snapped a five-game losing streak. For the Jays. Despite enduring an 0-for-11 slump prior to the game, the 25-year-old catcher remained focused on the win rather than his struggles.
"To tell you the truth, I didn't even know I was going 0 for 11, I don't really put all my energy on that, I'm just trying to think of how I can get better, and I think that worked today."
After Justin Turner and Davis Schneider found their own way to score, Kirk's solo shot to deep right field put Toronto up 3-0.
Kirk's homer marked the conclusion of starter Michael Grove's outing after just two innings, allowing three earned runs. Left-hander Alex Vesa took over in the third inning from the bullpen.
