Ever Since Biggio stepped into the league, there was hype around him and his storied name. Always a player with good OBP, he struggles with high velocity and maintaining a respectable batting average. His defense also comes into question as he had to be moved around many times to make room for mor productive bats.
The Texan posted a below-average .678 OPS in 2021 and an even worse .668 the following season. - Toronto Sun
In conclusion, the 29-year-old has had trouble keeping a starting job and has become a true utility man and pinch runner. Many teams will be looking to add him in order to secure some depth to their lineup.
He surely will be missed.
