Cody Bellinger responds to Max Scherzer comments about the Yankees
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Max Scherzer spoke about the New York Yankees relaying pitches after the loss yesterday which slugger Cody Bellinger responded to.
Both Scherzer and John Schneider spoke to the media about how the Yankees were relaying pitches but admitted that it is part of the game and Toronto needs to do a better job of protecting themselves.

The Blue Jays ended up losing their series to the Yankees yesterday after a tough 4-3 loss in which Scherzer was on the mound and after the game he spoke of the Yankees relaying the pitches coming in to their hitters.
Bellinger spoke to reporters after these comments, admitting that this is exactly what was taking place and that in the pre game they spoke of keeping an eye out for it.

The Yankees had a lot of pressure to close the gap with the division leading Blue Jays which is why they did everything in their power to walk away with a series win which is what happened.
While the relaying of pitches is not the reason for the series win, it certainly helped the Yankees during the game.
The Blue Jays did not help themselves as Schneider stated in his interview since they could have done a better job of hiding their signal for the pitches coming in.
Despite the series loss in New York, the Blue Jays still lead the American League East over the Yankees by 2 games and 3.5 games over the Red Sox.
The Blue Jays begin their series against the Houston Astros tomorrow and they need to make sure that they walk away with the series.
