Completed trade between the Blue Jays and Pirates is looking like a steal

The Toronto Blue Jays completed a trade with the Pittsburgh Pirates at the 2024 trade deadline for prospect Charles McAdoo which involved Isiah Kiner-Falefa who they Blue Jays just brought back to Toronto.
The Blue Jays brought back Kiner-Falefa last week after claiming him off waivers from the Pirates which give them some much needed depth in the infield for the final series of the playoffs.
Blue Jays come out on top in trade with the Pirates
At last year's trade deadline, the Blue Jays traded Kiner-Falefa in exchange for McAdoo, a 23 year old prospect who just had a great season in Double-A for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
We have acquired INF/OF Isiah Kiner-Falefa from Toronto in exchange for minor league INF/OF Charles McAdoo.
McAdoo had a solid season in Double-A finishing with 16 homeruns, 45 RBIs, a .245 batting average and .318 on base percentage in 115 games.
Since the Blue Jays were able to bring back Kiner-Falefa through a waiver claim, they ended up picking up McAdoo for nothing in a sense since they were able to bring Kiner-Falefa back on a waiver claim.

Kiner-Falefa spent part of the 2024 season with the Jays before being traded to the Pirates on July 30.

Kiner-Falefa has been a solid depth player since returning to Toronto as he has 2 hits including a double and 2 RBIs in 10 at bats since returning last week.
Pirates fans are not pleased with their front office after they clearly ended up with nothing from this trade plus decided to not trade Kiner-Falefa at the trade deadline this year and let him go for free.
Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins likely did not think things would play out this way when he made the trade last year but ended up pulling off an incredible move when looking at the whole picture.
