Aaron Boone and the New York Yankees were eliminated from the playoffs last night in a 5-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays and after the game Derek Jeter made some very interesting comments.

The Blue Jays are headed to the ALCS but it looks like it will not be easy for fans to get tickets as they went on sale this morning and are already sold out.

Derek Jeter makes interesting comments on Aaron Boone

Boone has been the man in charge for the Yankees dugout for quite a few years now but many fans have been calling for him to be fired after multiple failed season.

Jeter stated last night after the loss that Boone did a good job managing and that the loss was not his fault.

“Aaron did a good job,” Jeter said on the Fox postgame show as he, David Ortiz and Alex Rodriguez discussed what went wrong this season. “He's working with what he has to work with, and he sticks up for his players. I know he takes a lot of heat. -Jeter

The surprising part is that Jeter then stated that he believes that Boone is not the one making all the decisions throughout a game which is why he cannot be blamed for everything.

“Look, I'm not saying it from any inside knowledge, but I'm pretty sure Aaron's not the one that's calling every move they make throughout the game.” -Jeter

This is quite the interesting take coming from Jeter since he is such a legend in New York, many are wondering if he knows something that the fans do not.

Regardless of all of that, the Yankees failed to get past the Blue Jays and are once again headed home early despite having one of the largest payrolls in the MLB.

There will certainly be some big changes coming to New York over the winter and some of those moves might end up involving Boone.
