On Friday night, Rodriguez effectively utilized his 83 pitches as the Jays started their seven-game road stretch with a 5-1 victory over the San Diego Padres.




The 27-year-old right-hander pitched four full innings, conceding only one run on three hits, which included a home run by Fernando Tatis Jr. to deep left field, and one walk. He also recorded seven strikeouts, visibly displaying his emotions after each one.
