Finally an Alek Manoah injury update announced by the Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays have been dealing with a lot of injuries still when it comes to their pitchers but it looks like things are going well with Alek Manoah's recovery according to the latest update.
Manoah has been out since half way through last season as he had season ending Tommy John surgery and has been in recovery ever since which seems to be going well after the latest update.

Sportsnet reporter Arden Zwelling recently stated that Manoah and wife just welcomed a baby boy a couple weeks ago but also added that Manoah is already back in Dunedin as he continues his recovery in which he is still expected to return in the second half of the season.
«Alek Manoah - whose wife, Marielena, gave birth to a boy about two weeks ago - is in Dunedin throwing bullpens regularly and advancing through his Tommy John rehab progression,» according to Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet. «He remains on track to return to (the) Blue Jays sometime in the second half of the season.» -Zwelling
Manoah has had a tough last couple of years after an unbelievable season in 2022 as he finished with 19 starts in 2023 finishing with a 5.87 ERA then last year missed the majority of the year due to surgery.
Manoah underwent Tommy John surgery in June 2024, cutting his campaign short after just five starts. In 2023, he made just 19 starts and posted a 5.87 ERA. But in 2022, he was one of the most effective pitchers in baseball, earning an All-Star nod, Cy Young Award votes and Most Valuable Player Award votes as he posted a 2.24 ERA with 180 strikeouts in 31 starts. -Chawaga
Despite a rough last couple of seasons, the Blue Jays are still hopeful when it comes to Manoah since he has shown a lot of promise when he is fully healthy and they are hoping to get him back into the shape.
Hopefully this surgery is exactly what Manoah needed to return to the top of his game once again.
