The Toronto Blue Jays took on a familiar face in former catcher Danny Jansen yesterday who made sure to prove to the front office that they made a mistake in not bringing him back last off-season.
During the off-season, former Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen was available but the Blue Jays did not end up making him an offer despite speculation that they would which led him to sign with the Tampa Bay Rays.

Many were worried about the Blue Jays catcher depth as they did not sign a catcher which meant they would rely on Alejandro Kirk a lot this season and needed him to avoid injuries since they do not have any real back up options.
Jansen made sure to prove to the Blue Jays front office last night that they should have brought him back as he went 2 for 3 against his former team with 2 runs, 1 RBI and a homerun in a 11-9 win.

Not only did Jansen prove to the Blue Jays what they are missing out on when it comes to his offense last night but with the fact that Kirk has been out the last few days, it has made it clear that the front office made a mistake.
Hopefully Kirk is not out for too long but it they would have brought Jansen back in the off-season, they would have none of these problems.
