Former Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier and now World Series champion announced that he will be heading to Dunedin for the Blue Jays Spring training but not as a player.

Kiermaier retired after winning the World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers a few weeks ago and mentioned how his post playing career plans are to get into coaching which he would be great at being as he was one of the best outfielder in his era.

Former Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier going to Spring Training to possibly get into coaching

Kiermaier stated in a recent interview that he will be attending the Blue Jays Spring Training in Dunedin just to show his face without an employment just to continue to build his relationship with the team.

The former Blue Jays outfielder went on to say how much he loved his time in Toronto and would love to be part of the organization moving forward and hopefully as an outfielder coach.

Hire him #BlueJays

This is a move that the Blue Jays should strongly consider as bringing in Kiermaier full time as an outfielder coach would only benefit the teams defense since he was one of the best outfielders in the MLB for the better part of a decade.

The Blue Jays put up great numbers defensively last season which resulted in them being named the American League team Gold Glove winners but adding a great coach like Kiermaier could only add to that.

It will be interesting to see what the Blue Jays end up doing with him once he shows up to Spring Training next year and if they will end up keeping him on in some way for the regular season.
