The Marlins announced that after Conine left a game against the Phillies, he was headed to see a specialist regarding a dislocated shoulder and the news only got worse from there.

According to reports,
Conine will be getting surgery on Tuesday but the doctors are still not 100% sure on which surgery he will under go which they will apparently determine on Monday.
It didn't take long for the news to get worse, though, and the follow-up came as the Marlins began their series opener against the Mariners: Conine will indeed visit ElAttrache on Monday, but he's already scheduled for surgery Tuesday. The meeting with the specialist is just to determine the exact operation Conine will undergo. -Kirshenbaum
This is disappointing news for the former Blue Jays outfielder as hhe was off to a decent start this season with a .281 batting average, seven doubles and a .790 OPS so far this season.

Hopefully Conine will not miss the entire season but when it comes to shoulder surgery, there is a solid chance that his season is done unfortunately.
