Former Toronto Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano has been having a very tough season and it looks like it might be coming to an unfortunate end after the latest injury update from the Philadelphia Phillies.
Romano is already dealing with a middle finger issue on his throwing had and it looks like he is now dealing with a stiff neck issue as well which might put an end to his season altogether.
Rob Thomson told @TimKellySports Jordan Romano is dealing with some neck stiffness in addition to middle finger numbness.
"Romano (finger) recently experienced stiffness in his neck as well as numbness in his middle finger, and Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Saturday that the reliever may be dealing with a "nerve thing," Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports." -CBS Sports
This is a tough break for Romano since he really needed to take advantage of the last couple weeks of the season to raise his value for this off-season as he will be a free agent once again.
There is a chance that Romano is able to return to the Phillies bullpen this season but after this second injury has now arose, the chances of that happening seem quite slim.
It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out for Romano over the newt few months.
