Injury update announced regarding Andres Gimenez after being removed from last night's game
The Toronto Blue Jays took on the Los Angeles Angels last night and had more injury problems as Andres Gimenez left the game with a quad injury.
The Blue Jays blew another lead in the ninth inning last night as they were up 4-2 then gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the ninth and ended up loosing the game to the Angels 5-4.

The Blue Jays removed
Gimenez late in the game last night and at first did not report exactly what happened but it turned out to be precautionary for right quad tightness the team announced.
Andres Gimenez has been removed from the game. No reason given as of yet. Clement to second. Barger to third.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider stated after the game that
Gimenez' Quad tightened when he was trying to beat out a bunt single and he is now considered day to day which is a positive.

Fans can breathe a sigh of relief now that Gimenez will likely only miss a game or two since they simply cannot afford any more long term injuries since they already have so many players out.
The Blue Jays play their final game of the series against the Angels tonight as they hope to avoid the sweep after losing the first two games of the series.
