Assistant Hitting Coach Matt Hague and Don MattinglyDon Mattingly are trying new strategies to get there hitters to start producing, but the basic things they are doing should have been done a long time ago...

Hague has now decided to add a simulation style strategy to the pithing machine that closely resembles how the ball and timing is when facing a real life pitcher. Even though it sounds basic it is highly effective, the thing is, most MLB teams already do this, but for some reason, they are just starting this now..
So new coach Matt Hague just recently started making the pitching machine mimic the starting pitcher. Sounds like basic stuff TBH & they were doing it in Buffalo. You're telling me the JAYS' hitting staff wasn't doing this until recently?!? WTF have Gmart & Don been doing?
Blue Jays fans have taken to Twitter to question why it has taken them so long to try new things.
I feel like I must be missing something or they left something out. How can the Jays hitting coach staff not already been doing this especially with the offensive slump?
There needs to be more accountability on the coaches. Yes the team is struggling, but when stories like this are released, it makes you wonder what the coaches are doing with their time.
