Jamie Campbell announces the passing of Canadian baseball legend
Toronto Blue Jays broadcaster Jamie Campbell broke the news on social media that longtime Baseball Canada Executive director Jim Baba has sadly passed away.
Baba has spent the majority of his career working for Baseball Canada and has been a huge part of the association's success over the last 25 years.
Jim Baba has sadly passed away at 69 years old
Campbell took to social media to announce the news of Baba's passing, wishing his family his condolences and stating that he was a wonderful man.

Baba was the executive director of Baseball Canada from 2000 to 2021 and played a huge role in growing the organization and the evolution of the program over the last couple decades.
"Jim, who was 69 at the time of his passing, dedicated his life to the growth and development of baseball in Canada, serving as Executive Director of Baseball Canada from 2000 to 2021. Over his 20-plus year tenure, he guided the organization through a period of significant evolution" -Baseball Canada
Baba was not only a successful executive but he also coached and managed national teams as the manager for the 1994, 1998 and 2005 Baseball World Cups.

This is a huge loss for Baseball Canada as a true legend and ambassador has sadly passed away.
