John Schneider raises eyebrows with remarks on Jeff Hoffman after loss
The Toronto Blue Jays loss a tough game last night to the Houston Astros as they came back last in the game to tie it but unfortunately Jeff Hoffman blew the save resulting in a 3-2 loss.
Fans have been wondering why Schneider continues to use Hoffman as the team's closer which has brought on quite a bit of heat on the Blue Jays manager.

Hoffman had another rough performance last night against the Astros as he gave up a solo shot homerun in 9th inning to give Houston the lead and what would end up being the win.
This was Hoffman's MLB leading 15th homerun allowed this season surpassing former Blue Jays pitcher Chad Green and Jackson Rutledge who are both at 14.
Jeff Hoffman's given up the most homers of any reliever (15) this year.

After the game, Schneider spoke to reporters stating that he still trusts him and that he has been throwing the ball real well lately which is certainly hard to understand when looking at his numbers.
"Still trust him, he's been throwing the ball really well."

Schneider has had some issues in the pass when it comes to keeping players accountable and this seems to be another similar case since there seems not plan involving Hoffman coming despite his decline lately.
In his last 15 games, Hoffman has a 5.40 ERA with 4 saves in 15 games while giving up 13 hits, 9 earned runs and striking out a total of 15 batters.
