Schneider stood up for his player and stated that those fans should have a long look in the mirror after cheering on such a scary injury.

John Schneider was not pleased with the fans that cheered when Springer got hit in the knee.

β€œOn that note, I know this is an awesome atmosphere to play in, and it's really, really cool to play here, and I think the fans that were booing him should take a look in the mirror and understand what kind of player he is.”

While having Springer leave the game certainly benefitted the Mariners, no fan should be cheering an injury of any kind.
