Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer left game 5 after being hit by a pitch and the team just announced of the results of the scans done on his knee.

The
Blue Jays were up 2-1 in the 7th inning when Springer took a fastball right off his knee cap and despite trying to fight through the pain, he was forced to leave the game and replace by Joey Loperfido.
Just brutal. George Springer takes a heater right off the kneecap and is removed from the game.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider spoke to the media after the game and announced the results of the scans done on Springer knee.
According to Schneider, the X-Rays came back negative on Springer's knee which is a huge positive but he did not offer an update on how he is doing.

Springer will now get Saturday off to try and rest his banged up knee in hopes of being ready to play Sunday night in the Blue Jays biggest game of the season.
The Blue Jays are in an extremely tough spot as they are now just one game away from elimination and need all hands on deck if they plan on pushing to a game 7.
