The Toronto Blue Jays are currently up 2-1 on the Seattle Mariners in the 7th inning when things to a turn for the worse when George Springer was hit by a pitch.

During an at bat in the 7h inning, Springer took a pitch right off the inside of his knee cap and went down in excruciating pain.

Springer stayed on the ground for quite some time and tried to stay in the game but after walking over to first base, he realized he was in too much pain to keep playing.

Blue Jays decided to bring out Joey Loperfido to replace Springer at first base as he has been removed from the game.
George Springer down for an extended period after a 95.6 mph heater from Brayn Woo hits him on right kneecap. He tried to stay in the game but limped badly to first base and is now being replaced by Joey Loperfido.
This is a very scary injury for the Blue Jays and Springer as he might be out for a extended period of time depending on how the scans come back.
