The Toronto Blue Jays announced ahead of game 4 that they have decided to remove Anthony Santander from their ALCS roster and replace him.
The Blue Jays announced the lineup for game 4 this afternoon which had Santander missing due to his back injury and it looks like it might be worse than that.

Hazel Mae broke the news right before the game that the MLB has accepted the request as Santander has been removed from the roster while Loperfido will replace him.
Joey Loperfido for Anthony Santander has been confirmed by MLB. Santander would be ineligible for the World Series.
It will be interesting to see if Loperfido ends up getting in a game and how he does in his first playoff appearance for the Blue Jays.
