John Schneider sends clear message to Toronto Blue Jays closer Jeff Hoffman

Toronto Blue Jays closer Jeff Hoffman has been going through it lately as manager John Schneider recently spoke on the matter.
Schneider has be known for a lack of holding his players accountable when things get rough which has been of full display lately between a few rough losses and players not meeting expectations.

Hoffman started the season as one of the best relievers in the MLB but has since drop in a major way as his ERA in now sitting a 5.79 with 11 saves in 23.1 innings pitched to go along with 34 strikeouts.
Manager John Schneider recently spoke on Hoffman's struggled stating that the two have talked and that Hoffman feels he is in a good spot but that it is understandable for a reliever to go though up and downs.
«Just in talking with him, he's in a good spot,» Schneider said, per Mitch Bannon of The Athletic. «I think that, you know, the life of a reliever and a high-leverage reliever is bumpy.» -Schneider
While this sound all very nice, stating that Hoffman feels good does not make much sense since he has been seriously struggling lately and they should be talking about so course of action to se changes.
Schneider is clearly trying to show Hoffman that he is in his corner but at the same time, something needs to change because they are paying Hoffman $11 million a year which is why a 5.79 ERA is unacceptable.
No one would have expected Hoffman to own a 5.79 ERA two months into a $33 million contract. But both the righty and his manager seem to believe that nothing is wrong. -Roberts
People have been wanting Schneider to be fired for quite some time now due to situations like this where it seems like he never holds any of the players or the team as a whole accountable for anything.
