John Schneider speaks on the Blue Jays calling up Trey Yesavage
The Toronto Blue Jays are seriously looking to bring up pitcher Trey Yesavage for the end of the season and manager John Schneider recently spoke on the subject.
The Blue Jays decided to have Yesavage come out of the bullpen for the Buffalo Bisons a couple days ago to give him added experience and it went as well as it could have.

Yesavage came out of the bullpen for the Bisons on Tuesday and pitched 3 innings in which he gave up 0 earned runs and only 2 hits while striking out 6 batters with 35 strikes.
The #BlueJays used Trey Yesavage in a 3-inning relief role tonight with AAA Buffalo and he looked great.

His velocity isn't peaking where it did earlier in the season, but he's still such an uncomfortable at-bat.

Schneider spoke on the possibility of calling up Yesavage stating that the team is looking at a few guys that they can bring up to help them in the majors and he is certainly one of the names in the conversation.
«It's an opportunity to see what it feels like coming out of the pen,» Schneider said Tuesday afternoon. «There's guys that we think can help us win games at the major-league level, and I think he's put himself in that conversation, so you want to try to replicate whatever role that may be.» -Schneider
Yesavage has now proved no matter where they put him or at whatever level he pitches he will figure it out and end up by dominating.
Bringing him up to the MLB before the playoffs would certainly be the smatter move since Yesavage has shown that he always takes a game or two to get adjusted to a new level.
