John Schneider speaks on the Toronto Blue Jays current plan with Anthony Santander
Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider spoke about the current situation with outfielder Anthony Santander after yesterday's win against the San Francisco Giants.
The most recent update surrounding Santander stated that the veteran outfielder had yet to begin swinging a bat confirming that he is still nowhere near a return but hopefully will be back in a few weeks.

Toronto swept the Giants yesterday to give them their first series win since the All-Star break and after the game Schneider gave some news on Santander.
Schneider stated that their is no new update on Santander's health meaning he has yet to begin swinging again but he did add that the two spoke a lot yesterday and they will be looking at a return plan with the doctors in the coming days.
No update on Anthony Santander, who arrived in Toronto to see #BlueJays doctors yesterday:

For the time being it seems there is still no confirmed return date but a few weeks ago management stated that they are hoping to get him back during the month of August.

While getting Santander back could be a boost for the Blue Jays, they would need him to be the player he was last season and not the player they saw at the start of 2025 if he is to impact the lineup in the right way.
