Kikuchi issues statement to the fans on his last game with the Blue Jays

The Blue Jays are approaching the trade deadline and it looks like the team will be trading pitcher Yusei Kikuchi as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

Kikuchi started on the mound yesterday which seems like it will possibly be his final start for the Blue Jays. After the game, he spoke to reporters, thanking the city of Toronto and the fans, adding that he loves Toronto.

Kikuchi “I don't know what's going to happen it's out of my control. If this was my last game, I want to say I love the city I love the fans.” #bluejays

It is unfortunate that the Blue Jays will be moving Kikuchi since he has been a great pitcher for them and clearly would love to stay in Toronto.
