The Toronto Blue Jays announced that relief pitcher Yimi Garcia who has been out for quite some time is nearing a return to the lineup which is bad news for pitched Chad Green.
The Blue Jays have had a lot of players returning from injury lately as Max Scherzer just pitched his first game in months against the Cleveland Guardians is an unfortunate 5-4 loss.

The Blue Jays bullpen has been somewhat shaky this season and their biggest problem has been 34 year old pitched Chad Green who current has given up the most homeruns in the MLB with 10 while posting a 4.24 ERA.
We're nearly three months into this season, and yet, the struggling 34-year-old still isn't any closer to breaking out of his prolonged woes.
The results have been a complete trainwreck thus far, as the right-hander carries a 4.24 ERA through 35 appearances, allowing the most home runs in the majors (10) while producing the second-highest FIP (6.07) of 181 qualified relievers - trailing only former Blue Jay Trent Thornton (6.36). -Hall

The Blue Jays are expecting Yimi Garcia to pitch in Triple-A this afternoon for the Buffalo Bisons after a rehab stint in Dunedin earlier in the week which means he will likely be back in the bullpen this week.
They already parted ways with Erik Swanson earlier this month, proving the organization isn't afraid to act aggressively and make tough decisions when needed.
As Garcia - scheduled to pitch for triple-A Buffalo on Sunday - inches closer to returning from injury, management may have no choice but to make another with Green soon. -Hall

The only chance Green has right now to turn things around is that Paxton Schultz was just placed on IL as they called up Justin Bruihl but if Bruihl performs off the bat, there is a good chance that Green still ends up off the roster.
Should be interesting to see how all of this plays out for Green but it certainly look like he will likely end up losing his job with how he has been playing.
