The Toronto Blue Jays have a good chance of being sellers at this year's trade deadline which is why many believe that they will move on from shortstop Bo Bichette.

Bichette is currently in the last year of his contract and with no extension talks in sight which is why many believe that the Blue Jays will be trading him in the coming months.

Insane trade offer between the Blue Jays and Yankees proposed

In a recent report, Andrew Wright stated that the Blue Jays would be willing to trade Bichette to the Yankees since he has had a lot of success at Yankee stadium and New York would be interested in adding him as a third baseman.
Bichette has enjoyed success at Yankee Stadium in his career, as he has a .302 average with 12 home runs and 43 RBI. His success in that stadium could be another reason that New York would try and make a move. -Wright

He would likely be asked to play third base, due to shortstop Anthony Volpe being a Gold Glove winner last season. Bichette has not played third base in the major leagues, meaning it would be similar to last season when the Yankees acquired Jazz Chisholm and asked him to play third base. -Wright

While there is a solid chance that the Blue Jays will need to move Bichette before the deadline especially if they do not make him an offer, sending him to a divisional rival like the Yankees makes absolutely zero sense.
Even if New York is interested, they would have to give up an arm and a leg if they plan on getting a player of Bichette's caliber from one of their rivals even if he is on an expiring deal.
Regardless of where Bichette ends up, the Blue Jays are currently in a very tough spot because if they are not able to climb the standings over the next month or so, there will be a tremendous amount of changes throughout the organization.
This is likely Ross Atkins and Mark Shapiro's last chance at getting something done with this group, if not Rogers will be forced to get rid of them since they have proven nothing in over a decade.
