Rumors of a possible reunion between Marcus Stroman and the Blue Jays revealed
The 34 year old has had a tough time over the last couple of seasons as he finished with a 4.31 ERA with the Yankees last season and things got even worse this year as he has a 6.23 ERA in 39 innings pitched.
"Perhaps the Jays could even call for a reunion with their old friend. But with the success that they have had with their pitching staff in recent weeks, messing with a good thing may not be a good idea. Especially when they already have Shane Bieber ready to be added to the mix in the coming weeks, there might not be a need for Stroman in one way or another." -Eng
So far the main teams connected to Stroman have been the Cleveland Guardians, San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs since all three teams could use some help in their starting rotation.
"Jackson Roberts of Newsweek suggested that the Cleveland Guardians, San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs should consider pursuing the recent free agent." -Eng
So far, there has been no word from any MLB team confirming that they are interested meaning that Stroman might not end up finding another contract this season or ever.
"But with no word from any MLB team following his release already, there's no guarantee that Stroman will find a home before the season is over, or perhaps even beyond that." -Eng
While there is still a chance that Stroman finds a new deal, it does not make any sense for the Blue Jays to bring him back even if some fans would love to see it.
