Toronto Blue Jays president Mark Shapiro had quite the surprise for fans in section 531 at tonight's game against the Chicago Cubs.

Shapiro has been making headlines lately due to his expiring contract that comes due at the end of the season as many are wondering if the team will end up re-signing him.

The hosts from the Gate 14 Podcast decided to host Shapiro is section 531 at the Rogers Centre tonight to have him join Blue Jays fans for a portion of the game.
As soon as Shapiro arrived to his seat with Gate 14, Ernie Clement hit a homerun which had everyone in the stadium including Shapiro going crazy.

On his way to his seat, Shapiro made sure to high five as many fans as he could on his way up to the last row of the Rogers Centre and even took the time to sign some autographs while there.

While Shapiro has certainly taken on a lot of heat over the years as the president of the Blue Jays, he certainly has become a lot more popular among fans lately for how successful the team has been.
The gesture of going to watch a bit of the game with fans in section 531 tonight was definitely a incredible gesture by Shapiro since not many other team president would do the same.
