Massive Blue Jays injury update regarding Max Scherzer, Anthony Santander, Alek Manoah and Yimi Garcia
The Toronto Blue Jays a long list of injury updates regarding Max Scherzer, Anthony Santander, Yimi Garcia, Alek Manoah and even Will Wagner.
Blue Jays announced massive injury update
Blue Jays manager John Schneider announced that Santander who was placed on Il a few days ago officially got some PRP injections and he will be out for another 5-7 days whole Yimi Garcia started playing catch again.
A series of Blue Jays injury updates via manager John Schneider:
Anthony Santander had a PRP injection in his shoulder yesterday "to hopefully speed up that process." He'll be down 5-7 days before he gets going again.
Yimi Garcia played catch on flat ground.
On top of that, Nick Sandlin pitched in the Florida Complex League today and felt really good and so did Will Wagner while Alek Manoah is progressing towards facing live hitters next week.
Blue Jays notes:
• Nick Sandlin felt good after pitching an inning in the Florida Complex League today
• Will Wagner playing in FCL too
• Jays hoping Alek Manoah will progress to live BP within the next wk
• Anthony Santander had a PRP injection in his left shoulder
Scherzer also threw another 40 pitches during batting practice today and he is apparently expected to head out to Buffalo where he will hopefully throw at least 70-75 pitches.
John Schneider told me if all goes well in Florida, he'd head out to Buffalo. Ideally would like to get Scherzer as close to 70, 75 pitches in the minor leagues before he's back up with the big club.
This is all big news for the Blue Jays as they have been playing really well lately and will only improve when they get all of these players back.
