MLB insider announces surprising update between Teoscar Hernandez and the Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays have been clear they are very interested in bringing back Teoscar Hernandez as MLB insider Jon Heyman gives an update on their offer.
The Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins made it clear at the end of the Winter Meeting a few weeks ago that the team would love to bring Hernandez back to Toronto as he is exactly what they need.

The Blue Jays seem to have jumped to the front of the list for Hernandez ever since the Dodgers seem to have quieted down on trying to bring him back to Los Angeles which has been great for Toronto.
It seemed like almost a lay-up that Hernandez would return to the world champion Dodgers, but with nearly two months gone since the season ended and no deal signed, the options remain wide open for the All-Star. -Farkas
In the latest update, MLB insider Jon Heyman stated that Hernandez made it clear that he would like to return to Los Angeles but it looks like the team might not be interested which is where the Blue Jays come in.
He flat told me «1,000 percent» he wanted to return to the Dodgers. And who wouldn't? But the Red Sox and his old Jays (and possibly his old Mariners) are apparently giving him something to think about. A great bat and terrific clubhouse guy who should capitalize on his huge year in LA. -Heyman
The Blue Jays are not the only team interested in landing Hernandez but it is clear that they want to get a deal done and might have an upper hand since he spent the majority of his career in Toronto.
If Atkins is able to get this deal done, Hernandez would be a perfect fit for what the Blue Jays need in terms of offense and an outfielder.
Many believe that they should give Hernandez a $100 million deal over 4 years which seems like an easy deal to close.
Unfortunately Atkins seems to be safe with his money unless he is making offer over $700 million.
It will be interesting to see if the Blue Jays are able to bring Hernandez back.
