The MLB announced their top plays on 2025 for this past season as the year comes to an end tonight and Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer made it with a beautiful play from the playoffs.

As the year comes to a close, the Blue Jays and their fan base have a lot to be grateful for as it was a year that no one expected and will go down as one of the best seasons in team history.

George Springer named for one of the plays of the year

Springer had a phenomenal season in 2025 that no one saw coming due to his sutrggles especially at the plate during the 2024 season but everyone had a bad year apart from Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

This year was a completely different story for Springer as he dominated finishing with 84 RBIs and a huge part of the Blue Jays lineup which was topped off by his home run in the ALCS against the Seattle Mariners.

This home run was awarded Springer one of the top plays on 2025 by the MLB.

This home run could have gone down as one of the biggest plays in Blue Jays history if Toronto ended up beating the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.

Now heading into 2026, fans are not expecting Springer to repeat his incredible 2025 season at his age but are sure that as he continues to work with batting coach David Popkins, he will have another solid season.
