As the MLB's only Canadian team, the Toronto Blue Jays wore their special red uniforms and put on an amazing pre-game ceremony in honor of Canada Day.

They called it the "citizenship ceremony the culmination of a dream for many."
The Blue Jays brought in and welcomed 24 future Canadians who are waiting to become citizens.

One of the families that were in attendance had this to say about their time in Canada.
“[This country] is really welcoming,” said Irfan Syed, a native of India and an avid cricketer, who was sworn in along with his wife and their two children. “It's inclusive, it's multicultural and, though we get many things from it, we also get the opportunity to give back to society.”
The families that were welcomed were from India, Brazil, South Africa, China, Iran and Afghanistan. After the Ceremony, they all got to watch the game from a Rogers Centre suite.
