Pedro Martinez sends strong message to Vladimir Guerrero Jr and the Toronto Blue Jays

Guerrero had a rough start to his 2025 season after signing his $500 million contract extension but he has been playing a lot better since the all-star break and many fans have been noticing.

The Blue Jays have been on fire lately as they lead the American League East and continued their success last night after a 5-1 win over the Chicago Cubs.

After the game, Martinez took to social media and posted that he believes that the Blue Jays team this season is for real due to the consistency they have had this season.

Martinez also sent a nice heartfelt message to Guerrero stating that he is proud of him for how he is playing and handling all of the pressure on his shoulders, adding that it is like watching his own child grow up.

Vladimir Guerrero Sr and Martinez are very close friends from when they were teammates with the Montreal Expos which is why Martinez was named Guerrero Jr's godfather.

These comments from Martinez are great for Toronto since he clearly knows baseball and if he is saying that the Blue Jays team is forreal then it must be true, especially since he is a Red Sox legend.

The Blue Jays look to continue their success with another series win tonight against the Cubs.
