News broke this afternoon that the Alvarado tested positive for PEDs this afternoon and will no be suspended for 80 games which means he will be able to return in the last month of the season.

Phillies president spoke on the matter stating that it is very disappointing but that he treats a suspension like this sort of like an injury since the team needs to replace someone for 80 games.

This s a tough blow for the Phillies since Alvarado was off to an incredibkle start so far this season with a 2.70 ERA in 20 innings pitched along with 25 strikeouts on the season but it seems clear why he was pitching so well now.
The Phillies will now have to make due without him for the next 80 games.
