The Toronto Blue Jays took on the Texas Rangers yesterday in a great 2-1 win in which they made history as the only team to never been struck out by Jacob deGrom in a single game which manager Bruce Bochy spoke on after the game.

The Blue Jays bounced back yesterday against the Rangers after a disaster of a weekend in Tampa Bay in which they were swept and outscored 19-2 throughout the three game series.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy speaks on Jacob deGrom after he failed to record a single strikeout against the Blue Jays

deGrom is definitely on the back end of his career but he is still regarded as one of the best pitchers in baseball with his 2.42 ERA this season to go along with 62 strikeouts in 63.1 innings pitched and a 4-2 record.
On the season, deGrom is 4-2 with a 2.42 ERA. The two-time Cy Young Award winner has a 0.96 WHIP that ranks 11th among qualified starting pitchers. -Athlon

The Blue Jays had a historic day against the future hall of famer as they held to zero strikeouts for the first time in his career but he still had a solid day on the mound as he gave up only 5 hits and 2 earned runs.
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy decided to take deGrom out of the game in the sixth inning after only 81 pitches which many thought would be because of an injury but itg looks like he is fine according to Bochy.
Manager Bruce Bochy said that Jacob deGrom is fine," Jeff Wilson of DLLS Sports reported on X. "The right-hander was lifted in the sixth at 81 pitches as #Rangers try to monitor his workload after two pitch-heavy outings." -Bochy

This means that the Blue Jays were able to walk away with a win and actually get some damage done off a healthy deGrom who has be rolling as usual this season.
While this is only one game out of the entire season, this could be a turning point for the Blue Jays since this proves that they have the lineup to take on the best teams and walk away with a win, they just need to find more consistency between games.
