The Toronto Blue Jays announced yesterday that they had agreed to terms with outfielder Anthony Santander pending a physical which came back positive.

The Blue Jays agreed to a massive five year $92.5 million contract with Santander yesterday which will pay him an average salary of $18.5 million per season but there is some deferred money included.

Anthony Santander's physical comes back completely clean

The Blue Jays agreed to a massive deal with Santander but it was pending a physical before it was officially closed with the result came back last night and it looks to be good.

MLB insiders Ben Nicholson-Smith and Shi Davidi confirmed that the results from Santander's physical came back complete and clear which means the deal is officially closed.

Blue Jays have a deal with Anthony Santander, as

first reported, and source tells
@bnicholsonsmith
and me physical is complete.

This is great news for the Blue Jays as their last signing with pitcher Jeff Hoffman came back with some issues as his physical apparently showed that he has issues in his shoulder.

The full details on Santander's contract is a $92.5 million contract over five years which also includes a club option for the sixth season also with an opt out after the third year.

Santander deal with Blue Jays, per source: Five years, $92.5M with club option for sixth season. Can opt out after third year. Team can void opt out and make deal six years, $110M at that point.

The majority of Blue Jays fans believe that this was a great deal as they were able to land an incredible hitter for next few years at a decently cheap price as he will be making less than George Springer.
