The Blue Jays acquire new catcher despite trade deadline passing

The Blue Jays acquired a new catcher yesterday through a waiver claim from the Cardinals.

Catcher Nick Raposo was acquired off of waiver from St Louis and has been optioned to Triple-A with RHP Paolo Espino.

ROSTER MOVES:

RHP Paolo Espino optioned to Triple-A

These is a great move by the Blue Jays who are in need of catchers after they traded away Danny Jansen and Alejandro Kirk went down with an injury last game.
