Dodgers announce they have DFA'd former Blue Jays pitcher Jose Urena

The Blue Jays decided to DFA Jose Urena at the end of May which led to him becoming a free agent once again as they need to make room on their roster for Easton Lucas.

RHP José Ureña has been designated for assignment

After being released, the Dodgers signed Urena on June 3rd but he did not even make it a full week before being DFA'd once again which will likely land him back in free agency.

Dodgers To Sign Jose Ureña

The Dodgers decided to call up right handed pitcher Matt Sauer from Triple-A which resulted in Urena being DFA'd again.

The Dodgers recalled right-hander Matt Sauer and designated RHP José Ureña for assignment.

During his short stint with the Dodgers Urena pitched 3 inning, finishing with a 3.00 ERA, 2 strikeouts and a 1.67 WHIP but was unable to maintain a roster spot.

Due to putting up decent numbers this season, Urena should be able to find himself a fourth home for the season and hopefully this time it will stick.
