Phillies interested in acquiring Bo Bichette but it looks like they won't be able to land him from Toronto
The Blue Jays do not seem to want to sign Bichette to a contract extension as they have yet to begin any negotiations but at the same time it looks like they do not want to trade him either.
According to reports, the Phillies would be very interested in trading for Bichette due to how well he has been hitting this season with a .279 batting average, .324 on base percentage with 8 homeruns and 37 RBIs on the season.
Recent rumors have circulated that the Phillies should target Toronto Blue Jays' star shortstop, Bo Bichette. Given his track record of success at the plate, there is no doubt that Bichette is a highly sought-after player.

According to reports, the Blue Jays have no plan on trading a key piece like Bichette at the deadline as they plan on being buyers this year to a make a real push for the World Series.
«They're a million miles away from being sellers at this point,» he said. «They actually, to meyou can look ahead and say there's a real path for them to make the playoffs and they will play this out and they won't be sellers before the deadline". -Olney
The Phillies only real shot at getting Bichette would be to overpay and make the Blue Jays an offer they simply cannot refuse.
