The Toronto Blue Jays have been trying to figure out what to do with shortstop Bo Bichette ahead of the trade deadline and according to Buster Olney he will be staying.

The Blue Jays have yet to offer Bichette a contract extension which is why there has been so many rumors regarding him possibly getting traded at the trade deadline but it looks like that finally might not be the case.

The Blue Jays seem to have finally made up their mind on Bo Bichette

Since the Blue Jays have yet to make any contract offer, many thought they would be willing to trade Bichette but it looks like that is not the case according to the latest report.
Buster Olney stated that that since Ross Atkins and Mark Shapiro are both in the final year of their contract, they will be making a full push for the playoffs which is why they will hold onto Bichette and see where it gets them.
On Thursday, ESPN's Buster Olney reported on the Baseball Tonight podcast that he was hearing it was extremely unlikely the Blue Jays would consider moving Bichette ahead of the Jul. 31 deadline, regardless of their record. -Roberts

Oleny also added that the message he has heard from other teams is that there is no chance that the Blue Jays end up trading Bichette since they want to make a real push for a deep playoff run.
"It's the last year for (president) Mark Shapiro on his contract," Olney said. "It's the last year for Ross Atkins, their general manager. They spent $500 million on Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to sign him to a long-term deal. They just did these renovations that went in place last year." -Olney

"And so what I've heard is people with other teams basically saying, 'Yeah, there's no way they'll do that.' And on top of that, there's no way they will wave the white flag as early as July, if they have, as one person said to me, even a one percent chance. They will ride this out." -Olney

This is definitely the right move for this year but if they end up losing Bichette in free agency, it will end up being a costly move if they do not win a World Series.
