The Toronto Blue Jays most valuable asset that would be worth trading at the deadline is clearly Bo Bichette and it looks like the Detroit Tigers might do what they need to get a deal done.

There has been a lot of speculation over the last couple weeks regarding Bichette's future in Toronto as some believe that he will either be traded at the deadline or leave in free agency but very few believe that he will re-sign with the Blue Jays.

The Tigers seem interested in trading for Bo Bichette before the deadline or signing him in free agency

In a recent report, it was stated that the Detroit Tigers are believed to be the front runners to land Bichette either at the trade deadline or in free agency since they are looking to add something that can give them an extra push.
Searching for a potential landing spot for Toronto Blue Jays All-Star Bo Bichette, FanSided's Baron Dionis named the Detroit Tigers as a potential landing spot for him in free agency or at the deadline. He added that it's possible that the Tigers could sign him in the winter, but added that if the Blue Jays are smart, they won't allow him to hit free agency. -Conahan

After choosing Vladimir Guerrero Jr over Bichette this season with a contract extension it seems like there is very little chance that the Blue Jays decide to keep Bichette.
«The Blue Jays may have already tipped their hand about their future when they inked Vladimir Guerrero Jr. a contract extension instead of Bichette, which means that there could be a chance they could trade Bichette at the deadline." -Dionis

Bichette has been solid for the Blue Jays this season after an awful 2024 season as he currently has a .270 batting average with 4 homeruns, 25 RBIs and a .317 on base percentage.
Replacing Bichette will not be the easiest of jobs for Toronto but at the same time things have clearly not worked out with him and the Blue Jays as they have yet to win a playoff series in almost 10 years.
Clearly some big changes are needed in Toronto and since they have committed to Guerrero long term, it looks like letting Bichette leave is the next move.
